Ben Mitchell is an illustrator, designer and comic book artist from Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.
Ben has been working professionally for the past decade in several fields, including entertainment, hospitality, technology, fashion, cosmetics and education. Born and raised in the Hunter Region of the East Coast, Ben’s compassion for Newcastle culture often finds its way into his work, especially in his comic book series Storm Clouds. His work in comics has been awarded a Bronze Ledger award, been published internationally and has been exhibited worldwide in Europe, Asia and the UK.
After working as an academic, an art director and a brand designer, he currently balances the role of freelance illustrator and the Brand Director of the Chiefly restaurant chain.
He lives in an apartment in Newcastle West and is the proud owner of a ceramic V60 pour-over unit.
